A brief timeline
1984 CBA Bussar AB was founded by Bertil Book and two colleagues.
1985 Wasatrafik acquired the company and changed the name to Wasatrafik Malmö AB.
1991 1 April Bertil Boo starts Busscentralen i Malmö AB and acquires Wasatrafik’s operations in Malmö. Busscentralen is awarded the tender for school transport for Malmö City, 4 coaches. The company has 7 vehicles.
1992 We organise transport during the football European Championships. 33 buses collect passengers from Sturup airport.
1997 We acquire new premises in Testvägen, Arlöv and move operations there. The company now has 10 coaches.
1997-
2000
Assignment from the Öresund’s Bridge Consortium to take care of study groups and sightseeing during construction of the Öresund Bridge.
1999 Crown Princess Victoria and Crown Prince Frederik travel with Busscentralen to the bridge meeting on Pepparholmen.
2000 We receive a school transport contract, 4 coaches for the municipality of Lund. Now Busscentralen has 14 coaches.
2002 Bergkvarabuss AB acquires Busscentralen resulting in a marked increase in resources.
2005 The opening of our new facilities in Kvalitetsvägen, Arlöv. Malmö FF’s contract is extended and we paint a coach in their colours.
2007 Collaboration with, among others, damallsvenskan, LDB Malmö, Landskrona Boys (div.1) and Limhamn Bunkeflo (div 1) commences. New investment in environmentally vehicles with Euro 4 engines. The opening of the Öresund Terminal in direct connection with our facilities.
2008 The company starts working with several new large companies such as Malmö
Redhawks, Tetra Pak and Alfa Laval.
We continue to expand our market.
Our investment in the environment goes on and technology etc is continually improved.
2009 Busscentralen has 20 of its own coaches and the entire group has approximately 600.
